Joseph Woolf is the owner of Trowbridge Capital, a specialty strategic advisory and financial consulting firm exclusively focused on the entertainment, media, and music industries. Mr. Woolf has over 30 years of banking and investing experience and over that time has advised, underwritten or arranged many billions of dollars of capital commitments to a broad range of entertainment and media companies including filmed entertainment, music, sports and the service sector that supports these industries.
Mr. Woolf has structured and arranged hundreds of film financing transactions involving debt and equity capital and soft money with independent film producers and production companies, international film sales organizations, non-bank lenders, private equity and hedge funds, international film distributors along with all of the major film studios and many of the major streaming platforms.
Notable films Mr, Woolf has structured and arranged production financing for include Best Picture Academy Award winners Spotlight and Braveheart, as well as Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, reported as the largest independently produced film ever financed outside of the studio system.
Mr. Woolf is also an award-winning producer for the recently released documentary film “Amazing Grace” the celebrated concert movie showcasing Aretha Franklin’s inspirational performance at the New Bethel Baptist Church in Watts, Los Angeles, in January 1972.
